Ralph H. Barbee, of Venice, Florida was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 25, 1942 and passed away on January 21, 2026 at the age of 83. He moved to Florida 26 years ago from Grove City, Ohio and the last 4 years were in Venice. Ralph retired from Yellow Freight as a truck driver. He was an upstanding member of FFA while in high school, life long member of the Church of the Nazarene, active member of Work & Witness Mission Teams (going on 17 mission trips worldwide), lifelong truck drive and member of Teamsters Union and he enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Tammy L. Barbee; two children, Ralph E. (Reb) Barbee, Kellie E. (John) Hopper; his grandchildren, Amber (Emilio) Rodriguez, Ashley Barbee, Morgan (Eric) Fileccia, Blake Barbee, Lexie (Christopher) May, Dalton Hopper, Garrett (Elsie) Hopper, Savannah (Christian) Overfield, Torie Barbee and ten precious great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Eugene Barbee, his mother, Eileen O. Barbee; a son, Dean J. Barbee; a grandson, Reb Damon Lee Barbee and a granddaughter, Angel Barbee.
A visitation will be held at Venice Church of the Nazarene, 1535 E. Venice Avenue in Venice on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 11:00AM-1:00PM with the funeral service to begin at 1:00PM. Mr. Barbee will be laid to rest in Columbus, Ohio at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Missions Projects at Venice Church of the Nazarene.
