Born December 13th, 1977 in Fort Lewis, WA.
Son of Domenico and Patti Savarino. Brother to Alicia.
He had a normal life in a military-style household. He went to Germany twice and attended school there, growing up with his sister.
He had good times playing chicken with bicycles and big wheels.
Darwin went to high school and enjoyed track and field—especially running. He tried the military, but it wasn’t his thing.
He worked at EQC as a barback for 22 years.
He liked helping fix cars—especially the ones he broke. He was an uncle to two wonderful nieces who loved to play jokes on each other.
He enjoyed family time.
In the last few years, he started going to church. He worked at the South Hill Mall and would go to work early so he could slow down, read a book, watch people at the mall, relax, and enjoy life.
He kept life simple: Work. Sleep. Slow down. Do what you have to.
Don’t get rich—be with people. Enjoy life.
A treasure most overlook is time—make it count.
He was a good soul who took care of people.
If something needed to be done, he would simply say, “Do it.”
He will be greatly missed. His laugh was loud, and he had a good heart.
He would come home, watch Christmas movies, read books, and go to the movies. His life was cut short, and he didn’t watch the health signals.
But that is life.
