Elizabeth O. DeLeo, of Sewell, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was 87.
Affectionately known as Liz or Betty to friends and family, and cherished as “Nanny” to her grandchildren, Elizabeth lived a life defined by style, determination, and joy. A career-oriented woman ahead of her time, she was known for her impeccable fashion sense and her ability to dress to impress for any occasion. Elizabeth found pleasure in the excitement of the slots, the magic of cinema, and the warmth of time spent with those she loved. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life touched everyone who knew her.
Predeceased by her parents, Guy W. and Olga Martin; husband, Salvatore S. DeLeo; and her son, Joseph DeLeo.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Gaudioso and her husband, Albert; her brother and sister, Kenneth Martin and Joanne Nardone; her grandchildren, Zara Gaudioso and her fiancé Kyle, Salvatore Gaudioso and his wife Morgan and John and Samantha DeLeo; great-grandchildren, Mia Gaudioso and Salina Gaudioso. Elizabeth is also survived by her extended family, nieces, nephews and dear lifelong friends.
A Mass to celebrate Betty's life will be celebrated on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 11:00 am at Ss. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Kelsey’s Kaleidoscope at http://newviewforpan.org in memory of Elizabeth.
