Walter C. Moore passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Aiken, South Carolina.

Walter proudly served his country in the United States military as a Morse code operator, a role that reflected his discipline, precision, and deep sense of duty.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Jane, whom he met and married in Southport, North Carolina. Southport remained especially meaningful to Walter, as it was not only where their life together began, but also where he was a longtime and faithful member of Oak Island Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Walter was known for his devotion to the church, his long evening neighborhood walks, and his steady stream of knock-knock jokes, leaving a lasting impression on both his neighbors and his church congregation.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane, his partner in life and love.
