Marvin Louis Bowen, 80, of Palm Bay, passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2026. Affectionately known to his family and friends as "Bo", he was born in Port St. Joe, Florida on August 29, 1945. A Viet Nam Veteran, Bo served honorably in the Navy from March of 1965 to December 1970. It was during this period that he met his life partner, Brenda Lou Bostain of Carbondale, Illinois while on leave with her cousin, fellow Navy serviceman, Gregory Brandon, his best friend. Bo and Brenda were married in July, 1969 in Virginia where he was stationed. Soon after his time in the Navy ended, Bo and Brenda relocated to Illinois, where he received his A.S. from Parkland College in Electronics. His vast experience, both in the Navy and school, secured his employment with Kraft Heinz/AC Humko in Champaign, Illinois where he worked diligently as a Stationary Engineer for 29 years. During his time in Illinois, Bo became a gifted gardener in his free time, growing a variety of vegetables and fruits. He also enjoyed fishing in the various lakes around the area.

Bo is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Brenda (Palm Bay), his daughter, Rachel Jade Bowen (Indialantic), his granddaughter, Hayley Thomassie (Palm Bay) and 4 wonderful great-grand-children: Liam Burns, Zaylen Burns, Milo Burns, and Artemis Jade Elise Burns of Palm Bay. He is also survived by 3 sisters in North Carolina (preceded in death by 2 older brothers) as well as numerous nieces and nephews, including Carey Bowen (Inverness, FL).

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
