Muriel Irene Adams, age 67, lovingly known as Mutz, passed away on January 20, 2026 in her home in Maplewood Minnesota. She was born on September 24, 1958, to Jim and Muriel McMahon who preceded her in death.
Born one of eight children, Mutz grew up in a big family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Mutz spent over 45 years working in the kitchen at the Maplewood Good Samaritan Nursing Home. When not working, she loved cooking and learning new recipes with her family, reading, doing arts and crafts, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mutz is survived by her husband, Keith Adams, children Anna and Sam (Jess), and grandchildren Charles, Theodore, and Amelia.
Mutz will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and love for her family. Her supportive and sincere nature made everyone feel heard and welcome.
Friends and family are invited to join a Celebration of Life at the Sandburg Funeral Home on Friday, February 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
