Edmond passed away peacefully at home in Mukilteo Washington surrounded by his loving family. Edmond was born in Dalton, Georgia to John Henry Nicholson and Ruby Lucile Butler. He was preceded in death by his father John and mother Ruby, brothers CW, Henry, Leo and sisters Doris and Judy. He is survived by his wife LeeAnnaNicholson, his three children David Nicholson, Jeffrey Nicholson and Karen (Mark) Blake. His grandchildren Lindsey Whitman and Christopher Whitman, his great grandchildren Adeline Whitman, Emery Whitman and Kaleb Steffan and his dear sister Faye Busby.
Edmond joined the Navy in 1954 and served his country for eight honorable years.
He met his wife LeeAnna Boyd on a blind date in Washington state in 1956. They were joined in marriage on February 9th, 1957, and were blessed with sixty-nine years of life together.
Edmond was a hardworking man and not afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a machinist/metal finisher by trade. He was also an amazing handy man and could fix just about anything.
Edmond was a devoted family man; he always put family first. Family road trips and camping were his favorites. He loved his many dogsover the years; they were like family to him. He loved gardening, woodworking, watching baseball, football and dirt bike riding. He was a big hearted, fun-loving man, and he loved helping others.
Edmond was laid to rest with a full military honors ceremony at Tahoma National Cemetery on January 14th, 2026. A celebration of Edmond's life will be held in spring of 2026.
