Cynthia Lee Warriner, age 72, passed away peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones, on January 19, 2026, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Cynthia was born on September 25, 1953, in Pennsylvania to Evelyn and Ralph Hamilton. A true trailblazer for women in the military, she proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with distinction as a Lt. Colonel in the Nurse Corp. Following her military career, Cynthia continued her lifelong dedication to helping others by furthering her medical and therapeutic education. She became a psychiatric nurse practitioner as well as a marriage and family therapist, impacting countless lives through her compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment to care.
Beyond her professional achievements, Cynthia was deeply devoted to her community and causes close to her heart. She was a proud supporter of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic as a season ticket holder and the Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue, where she volunteered her time and love for animals, and she was actively involved as a volunteer with the Republican Party.
Cynthia is survived by her loving partner, Diane Musgrave; her daughter, Meagan Moore; and her sister, Cheryl Hamilton. She will be remembered for her strength, intelligence, generosity, and the deep love she shared with those closest to her.
Services honoring Cynthia’s life will be held at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with full retired Air Force honors.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Cynthia’s honor to the Colorado Springs Philharmonic or Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue.
