Mary Jeanette Slattery Frost, 85, of Summerville, SC peacefully passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. Mary Jeanette was a cherished member of our family, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born and raised in the charming city of Charleston, SC, Mary Jeanette was the youngest daughter of John J. Slattery and Amelia Woodard Slattery. She was a graduate of Bishop England High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and created lasting memories. Throughout her life, she held her family and friends close to her heart.

Mary Jeanette traveled the world as a devoted wife and proud spouse of Col. Stanfield Frost Jr. with the United States Air Force. They made numerous friendships through the 28 years of his military career, and their friends became an extension of their family. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering support touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love and compassion.

Mary Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Stanfield Frost Jr., and her daughter Karen Frost Eppard. She is survived by her daughters Stephanie Frost, Jennifer George (AJ), and Melanie Hoyt (Stuart), her grandchildren Adrian George, Christopher George, Benjamin George, Amelia George, Mary Catherine Thomas, Matthew Eppard, Jonathan Eppard, Caroline Hoyt, Jack Hoyt, great-grandchildren Aurora George, Derrick Silva, Orion George, and Gabriella George, and sister-in-law Janet Stalnaker. 

As we remember Mary Jeanette, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless ways she enriched our lives. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church on Thursday February 5th at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
