Dwight William Sneed, Sr. was born in Illinois on August 31,1952. He grew up moving between Wisconsin and Illinois in his early years before settling in Illinois and graduating from Warren High School in 1970.

After high school, he moved to Mccleansboro, Illinois where he met his wife, Patricia. He was hired by the local railroad company and was transferred to Kentucky before finally making a home permanently in Lexington, SC.

He loved hunting and fishing and was always quick to add a joke and loved to make people laugh. He was a great handyman around the house and loved his family, friends ,work and God, and also NASCAR!! What you saw outside the home, he was no different to us. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather, and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lois Sneed; wife, Patricia Sneed; son, Nathaniel Sneed, and grandson Dylan Sneed. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Jones; son, Dwight Sneed Jr and wife Josephine Sneed of Fairbanks AK; son, Daniel Sneed of Columbia SC; granddaughter Emily Jones; and grandson DJ Sneed.
