Summer Brianna Schwein (née Miller), 27

February 20, 1998 – January 4, 2026

With hearts heavy yet filled with gratitude for the light she brought into this world, we announce the passing of Summer Brianna Schwein (née Miller), who departed this life on January 4, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina, at the age of 27.

Born on February 20, 1998, Summer grew up in the Charleston Tri-County area and became a beacon of perseverance and promise. Summer completed her studies at Stratford High School as part of the Class of 2017

A soul attuned to beauty and expression, Summer was a published poet recognized by The Charleston Poetic Society. Her love for storytelling extended through journaling and writing, capturing moments with sincerity and depth. Her artistic talents bloomed through writing—where her creativity found vivid release.

Summer’s faith served as a guiding compass throughout her life. She was baptized at Cherokee Methodist Church in North Charleston, where she began laying a spiritual foundation that anchored her journey.  She dreamed of a family  and was blessed with a beautiful daughter and husband before crossing the rainbow bridge

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Ryan Jay Schwein; their daughter, Sienna Grace Schwein; her father, Ronald A. Miller; mother, Nachelle Levangie (Chris); sisters Rebecca Powell Goodman (Berry) and Skyler Miller; brothers Shawn Buckler and Gage Denton; aunt Cynthia Miller Berezny; aunt Cindy Hickman

along with many other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by her presence.

May Summer’s memory forever inspire creativity, resilience, and grace.
