Major Norman E Keith – a father first and a solider always - passed away on January 19, 2026. But while he is no longer with us physically, the legacy he left behind will live on forever. His military career spanned over twenty years during which time he served four years in the Marine Corp and twenty years in the Army. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, and an Army Commendation Medal. He then went on to serve for twenty years as a Senior Army Instructor, being credited for starting the ROTC program at Armwood High School. The awards speak for themselves, but what he was known for most was his kindness, compassion, and humanity.

During his years of serving, Norman raised three children, all of whom went on to serve in the US Army. He is survived by his three children – two daughters and one son – six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his two sisters. It goes without saying that his family will miss him.

Norman touched the lives of so many people, both young and old, during his life journey. While there will be a void in the hearts of everyone who knew him, every person he touched will be forever grateful that their paths crossed with his. He will never be forgotten.

A Graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave Bushnell, FL 33513) Thursday 11:30 February 5,2026.
