Born on May 14, 1932, in Timmons, Ontario Canada, Claudette “Sam” Kervin was a woman far ahead of her time. While raising her children as a single mother, she simultaneously built a successful career in the hospitality industry. At a time when women were often sidelined in commerce, she led with sharp wit, a relentless work ethic, and a strategic vision that commanded respect from colleagues and competitors alike.

Despite the demands of her professional life, her children were always her greatest achievement. She taught them—and later her grandchildren—the value of a dollar, the power of a hard day’s work, and the importance of standing on one's own two feet.

She is survived by her children, William Kervin, Anne-Michelle Kervin, Patrick Kervin Her grandchildren, Sasha Krenzer, Jesse Woods. Maurice Kervin, Monique Kervin, Natalie Kervin. And her great-grandchild, Xena Kervin
