Jane Broome Wrenn, 82, of West Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. She was born on October 4, 1943, in Lancaster County, South Carolina, and spent her life rooted in the place and the people she loved.
Jane was a proud mother to her two daughters, Kim Shealy (Rick) and Beth Wrenn, and a loving Nana to her grandchildren, Kayla Wrenn and Thomas Shealy (Katelyn).
A woman of quiet strength and unshakable independence, Jane was known for her stubbornness in the best way - her determination, her grit, and her refusal to give up on the people she loved. She had a warm and funny spirit, always able to bring light into a room with her sharp humor and quick wit. She was giving to a fault, offering help, love, and support to anyone who needed it without hesitation.
Jane had a deep love for animals, especially her own dog, Roxy (Roxanne), and always made space in her heart and her home for them. She also loved reading, often getting lost in her books for hours, finding comfort, joy, and escape in every page.
She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her independence, and the love she gave so effortlessly. Her family will forever hold close the memories of the woman who shaped them, supported them, and loved them beyond measure.
Funeral arrangements have been made for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Woodridge Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
Jane's legacy lives on in her children, her grandchildren, and in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know her.
