Sheila Ann Welch, born May 23, 1948, entered through the pearly gates of heaven on January 27, 2026 where she joined her parents, Duncan Andrew Faulk and Ollie Mae Thompson Faulk Sanders, as well as her sister, Linda. Sheila was raised in Winter Garden, Florida, attended Blue Mountain College in Mississippi and first worked as a dispatcher at Orlanda Utilities. Her most recent occupations were managing the kitchen at Faith Christian School for 16 years where she fed countless children, followed by working as a teachers aid at The Oaks Christian School for 7 years, providing assistance for the educators and welcoming the little ones with a smile in car rider line. She was a member of Crossroads Community Church for 27 years where she served on the Ladies Leadership team. In the last years of her life, the only places she wanted to be was at home with her family or at church with her ladies bible study, showing precisely where her heart’s compass was pointed.

Sheila is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” L. Welch, her three children, Casey Andrew Welch (Shannon), Adam Roland Welch, and Amelia Welch Reynoldson (Ross), and her three Grandchildren, Tristen, Kaitlyn and Logan.

Sheila will be forever remembered as a woman with a heart after the Lord. She lived out the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal. 5:22-23). She was faithfully devoted to her husband of 51 years, a loyal friend to many, and the world’s absolute best mom ever.

While she absolutely loved flowers, she loved giving to those in need so in lieu of sending flowers, please consider donating to one of the following charities that warmed her heart: The Special Olympics, Katie’s Krops, or The Lowcountry Pregnancy Center.

A celebration of her life will be held on February 21st at 2pm at Crossroads Community Church located at 505 Gahagan Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
