Claudia Diane Wheeler was born on December 15, 1946, at Morrell Memorial Hospital to Alton Morris Taylor and Almedia Taylor of Balm, Florida. She grew up on Taylor Farms, where her family owned and operated a successful farm and general store.

Diane married John P. Wheeler and lived for many years in Indiana. She was predeceased by John in 2014. Diane had a farm in Indiana and frequently traveled to Florida to take care of both farms.

Diane was a very busy and talented person. She worked on cars, made sea walls and stained-glass art, as well as teaching horticulture at Purdue University. Diane was also a master gardener, master baker and spent over 30 years selling antiques. She was active in local churches and clubs and was a member of All Paths to God Unity, the Metaphysical Society, and the Multicultural Club. Proud of her heritage, Diane honored her Native American ancestry,  her family tribe was Navajo.

In 2022, Diane married Roger S. Blom at Red Hawk Ranch in Wimauma, Florida. Their Native American–Christian ceremony was performed by Rev. Sue Meixner and Rev. Denise Madigan.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Roger S. Blom, and her son, Kevin Wheeler.
