Francis William (Bill) Dabbs, 84, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida.  Bill was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Francis and Emma Dabbs on July 31, 1941. He went to high school at Richard Montgomery High and graduated in 1959. He determined a Business focused career in Sales & Marketing was more enjoyable than a career in Engineering. Bill worked as a Sales Representative for Documentation, Inc. for five years before joining James River Corporation, Graphics Group as a Micrographics Sales Representative advancing to Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, Micrographics. As a lifelong golfer, Bill’s talent led to a Hole in One at The Country Club in Brookline, MA.  He enjoyed being with his family, friends, fishing, gardening and traveling.

Bill is survived by his spouse, Diane Dabbs; children, Robert (Nancy) Dabbs and Teresa (Mark) Dowd; and grandchildren, Captain Robert Dabbs, USAF and First Lieutenant William Dabbs, USAF; stepchildren, Karen (Jon) Jaques and Tony (Jennifer) Demos and 5 step grandchildren: Skyler (Daulton), Logan, Austin, Justin and Ronald.   Bill is also survived by his brothers, Edward and Richard (Colleen) Dabbs.  He is preceded in death by his spouse, Lou Ellen Dabbs; parents, Robert and Emma Dabbs; and brother, Robert Dabbs.

Funeral service will be held at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Community on February 20, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Hospice, 1250-B Grumman Place, Titusville FL 32780 or online at www.reflectionslsc.org

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St. Francis Hospice for their compassion and care to ensure Bill’s comfort and peace.  Our gratitude extends to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center for the effort involved in registering Bill as a participant in the Florida Brain Bank along with the University of Florida Human Brain & Tissue Bank who made Bill’s donation possible.  We are also grateful to Autumn House Memory Care for the love and care given to Bill for several years.
