Mary Jo Dutcher, 58, of Amsterdam, NY passed away February 2, 2026. She was born November 4, 1967 to Gordon and Kathleen (Leonard) Parson.

 

  Mary Jo enjoyed spending most of her time doing her diamond art and hanging out with her granddaughter Tiana. A lot of times you'd catch her enjoying the warm days strolling through the city on her scooter.  

 

She is survived by her 2 sisters Deborah and Joyce and her brother Pumpkin, her five children Joseph Mercado, Jessica Lamphear, Andria Dutcher, Britany Dutcher, and Mark Dutcher.  As well as her grandkids Benjamin, Johnathon and Lydia, Tiana, Blakeli, Sha'nyce, Brianna, Micheal, Keanna, Ja'leigha, Anthony, Joemar, and Isabelle.   

 

She was predeceased by her mother Kathy Leonard and father Gordon Parsons as well as her sister Cindy Parsons and her granddaughter DeAndra.   

 

The family has chosen to remember Mary Jo's life privately at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
