Candida Gutierrez Villalva, 71, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, February 16, 2026. Born on February 2, 1955 in El Cortijo Municipio de ayutla de los Libres Guerrero, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Efren Gutierrez Hernandez and Rosa Villalva. Candida enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. You would often find her making pottery and ceramics for the community.
Candida is survived by her children: Jazmin, Angel, Irma, Socimo, Jorge, Rufino, and Elsida Castro Gutierrez; many grandchildren; her sisters: Tomasa, Elvia, and Maria, and many more loving family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Candida was preceded in death by: Hipolito Castro Navarrete and Raul Gutierrez
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Tribute & Tallent Funeral & Cremations, 1937 N. Sharon Amity Road Charlotte, NC 28205.
