Joan C. Trawick, age 95, passed to eternal life on February 17th, 2026, with family by her side. A six-plus-decade-long resident of Lexington, SC, she was born in Racine, Wisconsin, on August 20, 1930.

She began her career at Sears, retired from Wells Fargo, and finished her career at Jakes Landing LLC. Joan was respected in the banking and boating industry where she was known for her wit and for being a friend to all, lending an ear and help without judgment.

Joan was a charter member of the Eastern Star Chapter 141 and later served as Worthy Matron. She loved singing, and for decades her talent was shared with Pilgrim Lutheran Church Choir and Sweet Adelines.

She was an avid knitter and crocheter, winning multiple blue-ribbon awards at the SC State Fair. Her cooking and baking were always a treat, and she was quick to tell friends, “You can't say you don't like it if you haven't tried it.” She enjoyed gardening, passing her “green thumb” abilities to anyone who would listen. Joan remained active in life, continuing to drive until age 93.

Joan was a loving mother and “Nana”; she expressed her love to the extended family and all she met.  She made lives better, showing her Christian love to everyone.  Her wit was quick and clever, delivered with fearless honesty.

The daughter of the late John and Grace Haarsma of Chicago, IL, Joan was predeceased by her former husband of 26 years, Archie Trawick, Sr.; her sister, Shirley Recino; and her grandsons, Joe, Corey, and Brandon Trawick. She is survived by her sons Archie Trawick, Jr (Sherrie), James “Jimmy” Trawick, and Jackie “Jack” Trawick; her brother-in-law Robert “Bob” Recino; grandchildren Lee, Michelle, Hannah, Sarah, and Liam Trawick; and great-grandchildren Mason and Avery Trawick; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on February 28th at 2 pm, with a funeral service at 3 pm, followed by burial in the church cemetery.  Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1430 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072
