Marvin Wayne Kern passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on December 17, 1940, Marvin lived a life defined by dedication, humility, and love for family and those around him. He was a man of steady character, known for his strong work ethic, quiet wisdom, and unwavering sense of responsibility. Marvin took pride in his work and in being someone others could rely on. His calm presence, thoughtful nature, and practical guidance left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all who knew him. Family was at the heart of Marvin’s life. He cherished time spent with loved ones, shared stories and laughter freely, and passed along lessons shaped by experience and care. His influence will continue to be felt through the memories he created and the values he modeled. Preceded in death by Luther Fred Kern (father), Thelma Eileen (Trisler) Kern (mother), Linda Lou (King) Kern (wife), Sally (Kern) Dekoker (sister), and Fred Kern (brother) Marvin is survived by his son Jeffery and wife Pamela, daughter Cheryl and husband David, and youngest son Gregory. He had many Grandchildren including Danielle and husband Kyle, Jessica, Jacob, Andrew, Matthew and wife Erin, Adam and wife Hadly, Paul, Yabsra, Sam and wife Caty, and Aaron. Great grandchildren include Levi, Mason, Cole, Madelyn, Gracie, Molly, and Luka. Marvin Wayne Kern will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a kind-hearted soul. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and respect that will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
