Judy Jean Chandler, 83, passed away peacefully on February 18 in Weiser, Idaho, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion to her family. Born on August 20, 1942, in San Diego, California, to Stan and Jean Kuder. Judy grew up under the California sun. It was there that she met the love of her life, Wayne Chandler, while he was stationed in San Diego with the United States Navy. They married on February 7, 1960, beginning a partnership that would span a lifetime of shared work, travel, laughter, and deep commitment to family. Together they raised two children, Cindy and Ernie, building a life grounded in hard work and strong values. In 1971, Judy embraced a new chapter when the family moved from California to Annex, Oregon. There she ran the Chandler Station gas station while Wayne began farming. In1977, they settled in Weiser, which would remain her home for nearly five decades. Judy's greatest joy was her family. She became a grandmother in 1990 with the birth of her grandson, Colton, and later welcomed Sara and Spencer. She rarely missed an opportunity to sit in the stands and cheer them on, proudly supporting their activities and accomplishments. In time, she was blessed with great-grandchildren - Wayne, Roxyn, and Eli - who brought even more light into her life. She had a creative spirit and a collector's eye. Judy loved crocheting, traveling the world with Wayne, and curating her unique collection of antique irons. She was also generous with her time, faithfully volunteering at local blood drives and quietly serving her community. Those who knew Judy will remember her steady presence, her resilience, her pride in her family, and the way she showed love through action - by working hard, showing up, and staying devoted to the people who mattered most. She is survived by her children, Ernie (Julie) Chandler and Cindy (Blair) Webb; her brother, Stan(Shannon) Kuder; her grandchildren, Colton (Bailey) Chandler, Sara Larson, and Spencer(Carrie) Chandler; and her great-grandchildren, Wayne and Roxyn Chandler and Eli Spiva. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne, and her parents, Stan and Jean. A memorial service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser on March 6 at 1:00 p.m., where she will be buried next to Wayne. Judy's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

We Entrusted Judith Chandler's Care To

Thomason Funeral Home

For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
