Margo Rose Benya, born Margo Van Swearingen on July 12th, 1958, passed peacefully in the early morning of February 20th, 2026. Margo was a dreamer, a mentor, a teacher, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a mother. Margo believed in a philosophy of living life to its fullest and never accepting less than what was desired. She is survived by her son, Benjamin, brother J.T., and sisters Dian and Terri, as well as legions of friends, colleagues, students, and strays who were captivated by her spirit, creativity, warmth and affection
