With full hearts and loving gratitude, we announce the passing of Pearl Gladwyn Burk on February 10, 2026. Pearl was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and good friend to so many.

Pearl was born on May 22, 1928, in Goessel, Kansas, and passed in Tucson, Az, following a brief illness.

Pearl and her husband Bill spent the last 47 years devoted to one another and in raising Bill’s three sons, (Rusty, Drew, and Sean —who Pearl adopted) traveling, and making good friends wherever they went.

Pearl was born in Goessel, Kansas on May 22, 1928. She graduated from Newton High School in 1945 and was married soon after. She raised 2 boys, (Garrett and Darrel) from that marriage. After moving to Southern California, Pearl divorced. She went on to college and completed her college degree in business administration, from Cal State Fullerton in 1979. Pearl became a successful business administrator and held multiple executive positions.

Pearl also became devoted to a lifelong dream of becoming a published author. Her first novel, “Crossing Sand Creek” was published in December 2003. Her second “Breaking Free” was published a few years later in March 2016.

Pearl’s smile could light up a room, and she made many friends throughout her life with whom she was committed to staying in touch for as long as she could. Often attending her high school reunions in Newton, Ks. She remained socially active and frequently could be seen at the gym working out in spite of being in her 90’s. She was also especially proud of being an active associate member of the Marine Corps League rarely missing an event.

Pearl’s love for her Savior could be witnessed by the multiple ministries she was actively involved with for as long as physically possible. She championed the life of every un-born child. Pearl would be very happy to know that donations in lieu of flowers would be given in her name to any Right to Life organization.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers (Marvin and Ryan), and her son Garrett.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Burk, of 47 years, her sons, Darrel (Carol), William (Angel), Andrew and Sean. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren, Christine, Amy, Austin, Katie, Zoe, Trillian, Dea and 11 great grandchildren.

Please join us on Wednesday, March 25th, at 11am as we honor and celebrate Pearl’s life.
