Shon Lou McClintock (nee Campbell) of Santa Cruz passed away peacefully in her home on January 15, 2026, with her family by her side. Shon was the mother of five children: Debra Allen (James), Shonnie Turk (John), Marke Schulz, Martin Crossman (Rhonda), and Bret Smith (Lynn). She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and is survived by her partner, Donald Jerome.

Born on September 25, 1929 in Ogden, Utah to Curtis and Lucille Campbell, Shon was later raised in Berkeley, CA where her father operated Curt Campbell Ford in Albany, CA. She attended Thousand Oaks Elementary School, Garfield Junior High School, Berkeley High School, and Colorado Women’s College in Denver.

While raising her children in Los Gatos, Shon became a highly successful real estate broker, well known throughout the community. There she enjoyed remodeling homes, gardening, scrapbooking, photography, entertaining, and even earned her private pilot’s license. She was fun-loving, adventurous, and was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for family and friends. She was a long-time, faithful Oakland A’s fan (before Fisher), making many trips to the Oakland Coliseum and to Arizona for spring training. Shon enjoyed traveling across the country in her motor home and she traveled frequently to Europe and back and forth to her second home in Manzanillo, Mexico. In 1989, she moved into an older home in Santa Cruz that her sons had remodeled, and where she lived out the rest of her years.

Donations in Shon’s memory can be made to the charities of your choice, or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
