Alfred W. Brown, Jr., (Deacon) 98, of Venice, FL formerly of Aliquippa, PA, died Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 22, 1927 in Tarentum, PA. He was the son of the late Alfred W. Brown, Sr. and Sadie McGraw Brown.

 

 

Surviving are his beloved wife of 74 years, Joanne R. (Heintz) Brown, his daughters Donna (Phil) Zaluski, Susan Hakanson, and a son Alfred W. Brown, III. Bill enjoyed his 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and many family and friends.

 

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Christine Autry, Barbara Brown, Joanne Brown and Darlene (Bill) Bargerstock. Also, a great grandson Dylan J. Weaver, and a brother and sister-in-law John (Jack) E. Brown and Audrey Gilson Brown and 3 nephews, John, Timothy, and Jeffrey Brown.

 

 

Bill proudly served his country during World War II in the US Navy. A devoted catholic, he was a member of the Lady of the Lourdes parish. Bill retired from the Steamfitters Local Union 449 where he enjoyed working for many years.

 

 

He was a devoted life partner and father, always putting family first. Among his favorite things were camping, fishing, collecting shark’s teeth, and yearly vacations to Myrtle Beach with his family. He was happiest fishing and spending time on a boat or at the beach. He could always be found tinkering in his garage or shed. He was always building something.

 

 

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Farley Funeral Home.
