Laurence Joseph Wagner, 84 of Jefferson, WI passed peacefully on March 4, 2026 with the solace of family. Larry was born on June 2, 1941 in Jefferson, the son of James and Dorothy (Hennen) Wagner. Larry remained in Jefferson where he married his wife Kathryn (Hebbe) in 1961 and raised a family.
Larry enjoyed the peace and solitude of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and seeker of all the beauty nature has to offer. He was blessed to share many such adventures with family and friends. Larry also enjoyed the precision and artistry of wood working. We are so grateful to have such beautiful treasures made by his hands and from his heart.
Larry is survived by his daughter Robin (Dean) Oschmann of Oregon, WI, Carmen (Robert) Schersing of Menomonee Falls, WI, Jeff (Debbi) Wagner of Fossil, OR and Jason Wagner of Jefferson; ten Grandchildren, eleven Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren. He is preceded by his wife Kathy and his parents.
The Wagner family extends their thanks to Rainbow Hospice Staff for the wonderful care and support provided.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Schneider-Michaelis Funeral Home, 900 W. Racine St., in Jefferson. Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Memorials can be made in Larry’s name to Rainbow Hospice.
