Clarence Luther Vance, 91, of Sun City Center, FL passed away March 1, 2026. 

He was born August 2, 1934, in Falls Creek, Pa. The son of the late Harold and Florence (Lamberson) Vance.

 

On August 24,1957 he married the love of his life Della Mae (Nelson)Vance, who preceded him in death on July 19, 2021. 

Clarence started his career at the Woodlawn Ford Stamping Plant in Hamburg, NY. Where he retired after 42 years. 

 

Clarence loved being involved in his church and loved singing the hymns. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, corn hole, and working in his garden.  He will be remembered for being a hardworking man and for his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. 

 

Clarence is survived by his two children, Kimberly (Matthew) Schamann and Bradley (Tiffany) Vance; 5 grandchildren: Bradley Schamann, Joseph Schamann, Stephanie (Brad) Bolin, Kelli Vance, Emily Vance. 

Survived by a Sister, Eleanor Sharron and a Brother, James (Kaye) Vance. 

 

In addition to his wife and parents, Clarence was preceded in death by two Brothers, Harold Vance and Melvin Vance and two Sisters, Caroline Vance and Martha Kosky.

 

A showing and funeral service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026 beginning at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Ruskin followed by a burial at the Lake Wimauma Memorial Gardens Cemetery. 

 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Ruskin.
