Richard “Dick” Clifton, 77 of Jefferson, Wisconsin, passed peacefully on Thursday March 5, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Madison. Richard was born on January 5, 1949, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, the son of the late Leo and Iline (nee Feller) Clifton. On July 21, 1973, Richard married Paulette Entzi. Together they built a life and raised their family. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 and saw combat during the Vietnam War. Over the years he also worked at the Fort Theatre, Uptown Theatre, and the Lake Mills theatre. Richard enjoyed trapshooting, and loved deer and pheasant hunting. Above all, he treasured time with his family. He loved his grandchildren and even had a special place in his heart for the “grand dogs.” Richard also enjoyed attending concerts and was a proud member of the American Legion. Richard is survived by his wife, Paulette; his son, Jeremy (Stacey) Clifton of Jefferson, Wisconsin; his daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Gens of Ocoee, Florida; six grandchildren, Gavin, Noah, and Ella Clifton and Elias, Reilyn, and Max Gens; a brother, Joseph (Diane) Hrobsky; other relatives and friends.
