Thomas was born on November 27, 1985, and was formerly of Buffalo, New York and has lived in Florida for some 8 years. He was predeceased by Freddy Ertel, a man he held great respect for. Thomas is survived by his loving family and friends, including his mother, Mary Jo Dietrich; and his brother, Robert Ertel (Emma). He is also survived by the children of Summer Koopman, who tragically passed away with him.
