William Joseph Vigliante Sr, 79,  of  Summerville, SC  passed away on March 15,2026.   William  was born on August 9, 1946 in Albany, NY to Margaret and Vincent Vigliante. 

He worked in construction with the Local 190 for many years before changing careers to  work for the NYS Department of Corrections for 25 years  retiring in 2009  He enlisted in the US Army at the young age of 17 and retired in 1997at a Master Sergeant. from the Rainbow division out of Troy, NY.    Throughout his  life, William was known for the love of his family and friends.  He would do anything for anyone he cared about.  He enjoyed camping, fishing and being surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.   He will be remembered for his dedication to being the best role model for his family.   

William is survived  by his children: Michael (Cristal), William Jr, Tammy (Ty) and his baby, Vanessa (Richard). His grandchildren: Jared, Brandon, Frank, Antonio, Angelina, Michael Jr and Ashley.  His great grand children:  Mason, Autumn, Calum, Olivia, Jordan, Willa, Jiovanna,  O'shun, Jiuseppe, Jahlly, Jiani and there is one that will be here in April 2026.  He was preceded in death by  his beautiful and loving wife of 57 years Claudette, his parents Margaret and Vincent, his brother Vincent (Jim) and sister Nancy.  

A celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Simplicity Lowcountry, Ladson Chapel.
