Geraldine (Geri) Carol Bodnar, Age-85 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte on Wednesday March 11, 2026. Geri was born on September 20th, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan and was a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in 1958. Geri was an Army Veteran and served in the U.S. Army as a Dental Hygienist for 33 years and continued to work as a Dental Hygienist as a civilian until her retirement. Geri enjoyed bird watching and golf. Geri was an active member of the Women’s Army Corps. Veteran Association and was active at New Christ in Life Church in Punta Gorda, FL.

 

Geri is survived by her brother Robert (Mary) Bodnar, her best friend, Cathy Aleshire, one niece; Shellie (Tim) Johnston, one nephew, Robert (Mindy) Bodnar, cousins; Jerry Ksiazek, Cindy Garrison and Pam Clark, great-niece, Lilija Kay Bodnar and Jamie Linsky, great-nephew.

 

A memorial service for Geri will be held on Saturday March 11th at 10:30am at New Life in Christ Church 507 West Marion Avenue Punta Gorda, FL. 33950. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to New Life in Christ Church, Bargain Boutique.
