James "Jim" W. Haffner
August 17th, 1941 - May 8th, 2022
James William Haffner was born on August 17 1943 in Flint, Michigan. He moved to Red Rock Arizona in his retirement and went home to the Lord on May 8 2022, at age 80. His long time battle with cancer, showed his courage in facing life's challenges with a smile and humor. Despite the pain, Jim stayed strong until the end. Jim was the hardest working man around and he always had a plan. One of his best character traits was his willingness to help others, you could always count on him to be there if you needed a hand. You would see Jim happiest when riding his quad in the desert, playing cards with friends, being out in his beautiful garden and taking pictures that he took great pleasure in sharing with others. Jim met the love of his life, Eve, while in the Air Force. A love that has lasted for more than 60 years. He was a wonderful husband, friend and father. And the best dog dad to his puppies past and present Buddy, Sonny, Cherie and Cooper. His surviving relatives are his children and their families Greg and Barb Haffner and their children, Tonielle Ballard, Kristen Romo, Steven Haffner. His Daughter and family Kim and Matt Kellogg and their daughter Makenna and finally his sisters Barb Campbell and Patricia Hall. Jim’s final resting place will be Marania VA cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The VA Memorial Cemetery in Marana at www.avmc-foundation.org or (520)433-3824 on Jim’s behalf.
