LEWIS FRANCIS SHUTTS Lewis Francis Shutts, age 72, a 17-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nev. He was born on January 4, 1946 in Santa Monica, Calif. Lewis joined the April 10, 1966. Serving from 1966-69 with overseas duty in Vietnam and Korea aboard the USS Ranger CVA-61. He retired from Northrop Grumman Corporation as a Tool Design Engineer with 39 years of service. He loved spending time on his hobbies, which included: boating on the Colorado River, 4 Wheeling, shooting, music, and storytelling. His organization participation in Bullhead City was as follows: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10005, M.O.C. Pup Tent 777, American Legion Post 87, & Auxiliary #2408, Moose Lodge 1860, Bullhead City 4 Wheelers, and Western Arizona Radio Club. His years were enjoyed mostly by spending time with family and supporting his country as an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10005 in Bullhead City and was a Past State/Department Quartermaster headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lewis and Jean Shutts. Lewis shared a wonderful life and 51-year marriage with his wife, Sheila Shutts of Bullhead City, Arizona. They had two daughters, Michelle Jacobsen and Denise Rusch. He also left behind his sister, Maryon Bloomer and brother-in-law, Napoleon Bloomer; brother-in-law, Ron Lung and wife Janet Lung; son-in-law, Michael Jacobsen; and three granddaughters, Bailey Jacobsen, Mikala Jacobsen, and Ella Rusch. His "Celebration of Life" will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at VFW Post 10005 in Bullhead City. This will be pot luck with music, and friendship. He will be missed greatly by everyone whose life he touched….
