Morris P. Gendreau, 91, of Walhalla, North Dakota, passed away surrounded by the love and care of his family, on August 21, 2022 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Morris was born March 05, 1931, and raised in Walhalla, North Dakota, the son of Albert Gendreau and Emelia (LaPiere) Gendreau. Morris served in the military (US Navy) for four years during the Korean war as a gunner on the heavy cruiser the USS Los Angeles. He was honorably discharged in January 1956 after which time he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married Patricia A. Zurbuchen of West Salem, Wisconsin where they resided in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During those years he worked for Milwaukee County as a miniature live steam engine (train) engineer for the Milwaukee County Zoo and Park Service and retired from civil service in 1992. Since 2002, Morris and Patricia have lived, boated and fished for the MIGHTY STRIPED BASS on the beautiful Colorado River in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Everyone would always ask "how did you catch so many fish in such a short period of time." Morris would never tell, just…"it's a secret!" He is survived by his wife, Patricia Gendreau, Lake Havasu City and three children, Candace (Dan)Robl of Florida, Pamala (Doug) Peterson, Scott (Sue) Gendreau of Wisconsin, three grandchildren (Jacob, Samuel and Cole) and one great-grandchild (Juliana). Morris's wish was for cremation. A private burial will be performed later in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A special thank you goes out to Doctor V. and the Family Care Home Health and Hospice of Lake Havasu City for their understanding, respect and exceptional care in this time of sorrow for both my father and his family.
