A Gathering will be held on Thursday, August 23,2012 at 11a.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park for Stanley Lockhart . Stanley Clinton Lockhart "Stan" passed away on August 17,2012. He was 89.He was born on July 26,1923 in Susanville, Ca. Stan was affectionately known as "The Mayor of Nord". Stan and his wife Dessie built and lived in their home in Nord for 60 years before moving to the big City of Chico .Stan worked for 3 local Ford dealers. Lapham Motors, Tike Decious Ford and Wittmeier Ford before retiring. Stan loved the great outdoors. He always had a garden and an on going war with all of the local gophers which loved to eat whatever they could before being caught. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had many a yarn to tell. In his later years Stan loved to watch the kids during recess at Nord School. He had a front row seat to watch their coming and going as he lived across the street from the school. He is survived by his wife Dessie of 66 years, daughter Lesle Decker, daughter Cathy Bragdon and son and law Dick. Granddaughter Erin Ryan of New York, grandson Kevin Ryan of Louisiana, Great granddaughter Sydnee Ryan and great grandson Ethan Ryan of Louisiana.
