Marian Elaine Wall, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Fountains in Yuba City. Marian was born on July 9, 1923 in Greenville, Michigan. She married Benjamin Franklin Wall, Jr. on September 14, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-five years in 2001, her sister, Betty, in 2005 and her son, Ben Wall, III in 2009. She is survived by her brother, Harold Nielsen, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; daughter, Cheryl Bixby and husband, Jonathan Bixby, of Spokane, Washington; daughter-in-law, Dani Wall McCoy, of Turlock, California; grandchildren, Benjamin Wall, IV, Peter Bixby, Kate Bernards and Kris Wall; great-grandchildren, JR, Claire, Brycen, Charlie, Jake, Nolan and Sierra. Marian joined Santa Ana Chapter #389 Order of the Eastern Star in May 1955. She was Worthy Matron in 1968 and a Deputy Grand Matron in 1980. She transferred her membership to Friendship Chapter #48 OES after moving north. She was a member of Eastern Star for 60 years. Marian joined Merrett Temple #103 Daughters of the Nile in Long Beach, California in January 1977. She transferred her membership to Menzaleh Temple #16 Daughters of the Nile in Sacramento after moving to Yuba City and was a member of Daughters of the Nile for 38 years. Marian was active in both organizations until her health declined a few years ago. She was known as a "domestic engineer" to her children and close friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, February 27 at Ullrey Memorial Chapel with officers from Friendship Chapter #48 OES and Menzaleh Temple #16 Daughters of the Nile officiating. Interment will be held in Michigan at a later date.
