A graveside service for Laura Verna Starr, 96 of Chico will be held on Saturday, August 22,2015 at 1 p.m. at Rose Memorial Park in Ft. Bragg, Ca. She passed away on August 11,2015 from Heart Failure in Chico, Ca .Laura was born on September 12,1918 in Ft. Bragg, Ca. to Laura and John Pimentel. Laura graduated from Ft. Bragg High School and later married William R. Starr. She was a lab Tech for Dr. Carlson DDS in Ft. Bragg and was owner of Starr's family Clothing and Shoe Store. She was a gourmet cook and made Blue Ribbon chocolate angel food cake and the greatest homemade raviolis .Laura is survived by daughters Sherry Jaunrubenis, Carol Starr, grandchildren Scott Jaunrubenis and Amber Cornelius and Charrish Silva.
