Judith Irene Skinner, passed away in Marysville, on February 14, 2023, at the age of 82, after a slow decline from Dementia. She had been a resident of Prestige Memory Care for a short time, able to stay in her home for as long as possible being cared for by her eldest son Robert Skinner. Judi was born May 2, 1940, in Sioux City, IA. She had been a Yuba-Sutter resident for 53 years. She retired from Yuba College after 26 years where she worked on the switchboard and in the Guidance Counselors office. She was the face that greeted all the new students, meeting her with excitement and trepidation as they began their college education. Judi had an infectious smile and always made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. After she'd been retired for a few years her brother Randy convinced her to come to work for him at the Insurance office a couple days a week. She fit right in with staff and customers. Whether she was answering the phone or helping a customer at the counter she never made them feel she didn't have time to ask how they were doing and how the family was. Her favorite thing about working at Fletcher Insurance was lunch with Missy, Laurie, Randy and Kathy at Cisco's. She loved Cisco's! She is preceded in death by her youngest son, Craig Skinner (2004); father, Darrel Fletcher who also died on February 14th, in 1980; mother, Bernice Fletcher Dewey (2003); brothers, Jim Fletcher (1995) and wife, Betty Fletcher (2011); Rod Fletcher (2008) and wife, Eleanor Fletcher (2022); sister, Mary Ann Stone (2005) and husband, Darold Stone (1994); sister-in-law, Melva Jean Fletcher (2022); nephews, Bradly Fletcher (2000), and Steve Stone (2008); and niece, Cheryl Stone Galvez (2021). She is survived by her eldest son, Robert (Petra) Skinner; grandson, Garrett (Tammy) Skinner; and a newborn great-granddaughter, Rosie Peta Skinner of Australia; brothers, Randy (Kathy) Fletcher, and Dick Fletcher; and many other nieces; nephews; and friends who will miss her dearly. Private burial at Brownsville Cemetery.
