Philomena Rosalie Ayres, 93, of Belleview, FL passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019. Philomena was a native of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and moved to this area from Avondale, PA in 1985. She worked at National Vulcanized Fiber in Yorklin, Delaware in the shipping department. She enjoyed gardening, her friends and “keeping busy.” She was an active member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She was always on the go with a smile on her face. She is survived by her three sisters, Marguerite Fuski, Rosie Jones, and Melania Devonshire. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Ayres, sisters, Concetta Jordan and Alice Dunn. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church. Online condolences may be sent at www.hiers-baxley.com.
