Ruth J. Bowman, 95, of Ocala, FL, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. Ruth was born in Buchanan, MI to Arthur and Beryl Jefferis. She moved to Ocala in 1999 from Eustis, FL where she lived most of her life. Ruth worked in bookkeeping and accounting. She was a member of Christ’s Church of Marion County. She attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL, and enjoyed gardening and sewing. Ruth was at one time a Girl Scout leader. Ruth was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Charles G. Bowman in 2017. She is survived by daughters Dr. Cheryl and husband Dr. Richard Mann of Ocala, and Marcia and husband Tim Armstrong of Ocala, and a sister Doris Cain of Eustis. Ruth will be buried next to her husband Charles at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL where graveside services will be held on Monday, March 26 at 10:00 am. A memorial service at Christ’s Church of Marion County will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 10:00am.
