Helen J. Romero 5/21/1944-1/1/2016 Helen J. Romero, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday January 1, 2016 with her family by her side. Helen was born in Durango, Colorado but was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. She was born to Luis and Selfita Valdez. She was one of two children; Helen and Orlando. Helen is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Raymond Romero and her children Sharon Navarro, Ray Romero, and Christina Romero. She is also survived by her brother, Orlando Valdez, and four loving grandchildren; Estevan Romero, Samantha Navarro, Patrick Gonzales, and Angelina Navarro. Helen spent her life caring for her family. She raised her children and helped raise all of her grandchildren. Helen was the best wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending her time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends. Helen was the rock of our family and will forever remain in our hearts and on our mind. Helen will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. She is now resting in peace with the Lord. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Helen which will be held at Riverside Funeral Home on Tuesday January 5th at 5 p.m. with a reception following the mass.
