Edward R. McCardle passed away on November, 4, 2017. He was born in Akron, Ohio to Edward McCardle and Dorothy Goddard. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Lorraine McCardle. He is survived by his children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many friends and loved ones. Edward was a Chief Yeoman in U.S. Navy during the USS Perry AS112. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Seal Service Deployment Ribbon, Battle "E", Vietnam Service Medal. RVN Meritorious Unit Citation Gallantary Cross w/Palm II Navy Achievment Medal. He was a civil servent for the United States and attended the University of New Mexico. During his retiement he received a certificate in the citizens police academy. He will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on November 27, 2017 3:00 PM escorted by the Patriot Riders with Honors. He will be sorely missed and wishes to thank all heros of this nation for their service.
