Eileen was born August 3, 1934 in Williston, Ohio and was one of eleven children. She enjoyed square dancing and that is where she met her husband. She also enjoyed drawing, painting, sewing (she made all of her children's clothes when they were growing up, even Barbie doll clothes), playing pool, Skipbo, putting puzzles together, and flea markets (Oldsmar was her favorite). She was a 120 pound stick of dynamite and there wasn't anything she wouldn't tackle. If you gave her the lumber, she could build a house. She raised five kids of her own to be respectful and independent, and she was known as Mom Shinkle to the neighborhood kids. Eileen's children are Jeffrey Shinkle, Brenda Steffenhagen, Tina Shinkle, Cheryl Pulfer, and Debbie Shinkle. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Michelle Pulfer and her siblings, Robert Helle, Gerard Helle, Alice Nagy, Phyllis Haeft, Betty McLuckie and Elroy Helle.
