Bush, Franklin "Frank" 88, of Indian Rocks Beach, beloved husband and father, passed away on Aug. 23rd, 2015. Frank was a graduate of Rutgers University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Forestry Conservation. All 1951 ROTC graduates were called to active duty immediately upon graduation. Then, after 28 years of service he retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. He served two tours in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Frank received the National Defense Service Medal, Senior Army Aviator Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Marksman Badge, Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star for Meritorious Service Medal. As a Transportation Corp Officer he piloted both fixed wing and rotary aircraft. After his military career he earned a Masters Degree in Urban Planning and worked as a transportation planner for both the city of Clearwater and Pinellas County. Frank was a triathlete and he was a nationally ranked table tennis player who won the Bronze Medal at the 1993 Senior World Games in Utah.Frank is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughters Stacey (Dr. Miguel) Mulet and Dr. Wendy (Amy Comerford) Bush; grandchildren Michael, Miles and Liana Mulet and Makenna and Riley Comerford-Bush and a niece Jeannie Jobes. There will be a private committal service for the family at Bay Pines National Cemetery. A celebration of Frank's life will be held at a later date at the family home for friends and family. As he was a founding member of the Sunrise Table Tennis Club, the family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made to the Sunrise Table Tennis Club c/o Keith Hanley 1740 St. Croix Dr. Clearwater, FL 33759.
