George Valencia

Valencia, George, 71, of St. Petersburg passed away October 25th, 2020 at Northside Hospital in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Born in Manizales, Colombia, he was raised there and also in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Aiken High School and from St. Petersburg Junior College with an Associates Degree in Science. He was preceded in death by his dad Isaac and mother Fiche Valencia. He is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Alexis, son Jeremy, daughter Angela and son Anthony. He is also survived by Louis Valencia, James Valencia, Lucy Valencia, Margarita Marulanda, Alejandro, Hugo, Carlos Julio and Mother Emma Aguirre and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was a very family oriented, resourceful and loving individual. He always put others needs in front of his own and wouldn’t think twice about it. He loved to do anything with his hands, whether it be “air-drumming” to his favorite tunes or building and creating things for around the house. He loved animals especially his family cats Houdina, Choppy and Daisy. He also loved to travel, many times traveling with close friends and family. George had an enormous heart and wonderful soul that many gravitated to and loved. His charming and uplifting spirit will be missed by many. His memorial service will be Monday, November 2nd at 11am.
