Fred D. Adcock, 62, died 07/28/13 at his residence in Bradenton, Florida. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School, St. Petersburg, Hillsborough Community College, And University of Tampa, BSN, Nursing. He was currently a Nurse Case Manager with the Manatee County Rural Health Services. Survivors include a brother, Hugh S Adcock III, a sister, Sylvia A Gilbreath, a niece, a nephew, an aunt and several cousins. Outside of his passion for serving the needs of his patients, Fred was an avid fisherman and loved fishing in Tampa Bay. Fred will be greatly missed by his family, many friends and co-workers, and the countless people whose lives he touched in such a positive way. The family is planning a private tribute, and Fred's ashes will be scattered over his favorite fishing spots in Tampa Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Anchor House, which is a Missionary to Seafarers, at 1328 Eastern Ave., Palmetto, FL 34221 "Being humble means recognizing that we are not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others".
