Coles, Garry Louis, 75, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Kindred Hospital St. Petersburg, FL. Garry was born in Rochester, NY and came here in 1995. He served in the Navy and was a member of the Monroe County NY Sheriff's Department retiring as a Lieutenant after many years as a motorcycle officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pauline (Ackerman) Coles, Those left to cherish Garry's memory are his wife Carol, brothers, King (Eileen) and George (Helen); his sons, TJ (Barbie), Garry Jr. (Aleece), and Joshua; his daughters, Deborah (John) Benedict, Suzanne (James) Jones, and Heather Coles, his step-son, Edward O'Brien, step-daughter, Sharon (Boyd) Marquardt; 8 grandchildren, 2 nephews, 3 nieces, and his beloved dog, Trixie. Garry loved life and spent many happy hours riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his Corvette, and camping in his motor home. He also enjoyed his friends at American Legion Post 273.
