Best, Betty Irene, 69, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Marietta, Georgia, died Thursday October, 16, 2003 at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg. Born in Columbus, Georgia, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1998 from Marietta. She is survived by a daughter, Candy L. Dooley of St. Petersburg; five sons, Dickie Bruce Ferguson and wife Carla of St. Petersburg, Russell Holmes and wife Patty of Tavernier, Florida, Gary W. Holmes of Marietta, Ted L. Best and wife Kay of Palm Bay, Florida and Bob A. Best and wife Sonya of Powder Springs, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Best will be buried in Hillview Cemetery Saturday, October 25th at 10:00 a.m. in La Grange, Georgia.
