Ellinwood, Helen Bernice, 88, of St. Petersburg, passed into the presence of the Lord on July 5, 2015, at her home. Born in Jacksonville, FL, she came here in 1932. She was a homemaker and also worked for Eckerd Drug Store for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Eugene; step-father and mother, Albert and Ivy Alford; and sister, Zelda Harris. She is survived by son, Stanley Ellinwood (Barbara), daughters, Sharon Law (Jim), Renee' Ellinwood, Denise McPherson (Alex), and Robin Ellinwood; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. There will be a visitation from 6pm - 8pm on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Anderson-McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg, FL. A funeral service will be held at Maranatha Baptist Church on Friday, July 10th at 10am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Suncoast Hospice. A special thank you to the Suncoast Hospice- Silver team for their loving care and support.
